Description
  • NSW-310 is a rutile coated manual metal arc electrode for the welding of 310 austenitic stainless steel.
  • Deposits 25%Cr-20% Ni weld metal and offers high temperature ductility and excellent resistance to oxidation at working temperatures of up to 1200ºC
  • Produces a smooth and even metal transfer
  • Low spatter and a self releasing slag
  • Finished welds exhibits a slightly concave shape with good cosmetic appearance with little or no post weld dressing
  • Ideal for both fillet and butt welding applications

NOTE:

The information contained or otherwise referenced herein is presented only as “typical” without guarantee or warranty, and Industrial Welding Corporation expressly disclaims any liability incurred from any reliance thereon. Typical data and test results for mechanical properties, deposit, or electrode composition and other properties were obtained from a weld produced and tested according to prescribed standards and should not be assumed to be the expected results in a particular application or weldment. Actual results will vary depending on many factors, including, but not limited to, weld procedure, plate chemistry and temperature, weldment design, and fabrication methods. Users are cautioned to confirm by qualification testing, or other appropriate means, the suitability of any welding consumable and procedure before use in the intended application.

  • Fabrication of stainless steel structures and assemblies in the chemical, petrochemical, and power industries

  • Clean joints of all foreign materials
  • Use lowest current possible and short arc without allowing coating to touch molten pool
  • Short and intermittent welding is to be preferred to avoid overheating and distortion
  • Avoid excessive weaving
  • Use dry electrodes to prevent blowholes in deposit
  • If necessary, re-dry at 200ºC for 2 hours before use
