NSF-185 (FLUX) / NSW-L12 (WIRE)

Specification
AWS Specification: AWS A5.17 F7A0-EL12
JIS Specification: N/A
Other Specification: N/A
Description
  • NSF-185 (FLUX) is an acid aluminite-rutile type of agglomerated flux that features good welding workability, stable arc, and excellent bead appearance
  • NSW-L12 (WIRE) is a general purpose wire that contains less carbon, manganese, and silicon than many other submerged arc wires, therefore yielding less strength but providing greater resistance to cracking

Typical data and test results for mechanical properties, deposit, or electrode composition and other properties were obtained from a weld produced and tested according to prescribed standards and should not be assumed to be the expected results in a particular application or weldment. Actual results will vary depending on many factors, including, but not limited to, weld procedure, plate chemistry and temperature, weldment design, and fabrication methods. Users are cautioned to confirm by qualification testing, or other appropriate means, the suitability of any welding consumable and procedure before use in the intended application.
