Description
  • NIHONWELD NHF-700 is a low hydrogen type hardfacing welding electrode that deposits weld metal with a martensitic structure and contains Chromium and Molybdenum alloys for high hardness, offering a balance of abrasion and impact resistance
  • Suitable for applications with intense soil abrasion
  • Weld deposit is is non-machinable and can only be grinded
  • Excellent welder appeal due to smooth and steady arc with minimal spattering, and easy slag removal

The information contained or otherwise referenced herein is presented only as “typical” without guarantee or warranty, and Industrial Welding Corporation expressly disclaims any liability incurred from any reliance thereon. Typical data and test results for mechanical properties, deposit, or electrode composition and other properties were obtained from a weld produced and tested according to prescribed standards and should not be assumed to be the expected results in a particular application or weldment. Actual results will vary depending on many factors, including, but not limited to, weld procedure, plate chemistry and temperature, weldment design, and fabrication methods. Users are cautioned to confirm by qualification testing, or other appropriate means, the suitability of any welding consumable and procedure before use in the intended application.

  • Earth moving equipment
  • Tractor grousers and rollers
  • Scrapper blades
  • Drive sprockets
  • Plow shares
  • Agricultural equipment
  • Preheat at 150ºC
  • It is recommended to underlay with low hydrogen type electrodes (N-7016 or N-7018) in case the base metal is hardenable or multi-layer welding is required
  • Postheat at 500-600ºC and slow cooling are recommended
  • Dry the electrodes at 200-250ºC for 30-60 minutes before use
