Description
  • NIHONWELD NIDURIT 61 is a chromium carbide hardfacing welding electrode that is suited for highly wear resistant claddings on parts subject to strong grinding abrasion combined with medium impact, such as conveyor screws, scraper blades, bucket teeth, mixer wings, and sand pumps
  • Can also be used as a final layer on crusher jaws
  • Weld deposit is is non-machinable and can only be grinded
  • Excellent welder appeal due to smooth and steady arc with minimal spattering, easy slag removal, and quick striking / re-striking properties
  • Comes in special vacuum packed packaging for improved shelf life and top-level welding performance

NOTE:

The information contained or otherwise referenced herein is presented only as “typical” without guarantee or warranty, and Industrial Welding Corporation expressly disclaims any liability incurred from any reliance thereon. Typical data and test results for mechanical properties, deposit, or electrode composition and other properties were obtained from a weld produced and tested according to prescribed standards and should not be assumed to be the expected results in a particular application or weldment. Actual results will vary depending on many factors, including, but not limited to, weld procedure, plate chemistry and temperature, weldment design, and fabrication methods. Users are cautioned to confirm by qualification testing, or other appropriate means, the suitability of any welding consumable and procedure before use in the intended application.

  • Highly wear resistant claddings on parts subject to strong grinding abrasion combined with medium impact
  • Conveyor screws
  • Scraper blades
  • Mixer wings
  • Sand pumps
  • Sugar cane cutter knives
  • Hold electrode as vertically as possible
  • Keep a short arc
  • Preheating is not necessary
  • For multipass applications, a cushion layer with NSS-307 or NHF-Cromang is recommended in order to prevent hardening racks in the weld deposit
  • Re-dry electrodes that have gotten damp for at 300ºC for 2 hours
